2010 Torch Run Events

 The "Pig Run" returns to Birmingham

One of the best known 5K races in the Birmingham metro area is returning to it's "roots" as the Law Enforcement Pig Run for Special Olympics will be hosted by the Birmingham Police Department on Saturday, June 12th. information and registration will be available soon.

 ALETR at Alabama Adventure for Charlie Daniels Band

Also on Saturday, June 12th, the ALETR will be at Alabama Adventure! The Charlie Daniels Band will be in concert that night and law enforcement officers will be manning a display inside the park and selling ALETR t-shirts all during the day leading up to the concert.

The Annual ALETR Golf Tournament will be held on July 29th 

Once again, we will be hosting the best golf tournament in the state on the Oxmoor Valley Course of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Information and registration is now on our website. Click on the "Golf Tournament" link on the left of the page. 

Woodstock 5K on schedule for August 7th

The Woodstock 5K is a certified race held annually in Anniston, AL. For the second year, the Woodstock will donate proceeds to Special Olympics Alabama through the ALETR. Details and registration will be available soon.
